  • Wednesday, 20 August 2008 11:20

A large crowd of Charolais breeders and supporters from the farming community enjoyed Charolais steaks and bid furiously for the auction items to support Alzheimers at the Northern Ireland Charolais Club’s charity auction and BBQ in Dungannon Rugby Club.

Auctioneer, Noel Erskine, used his professional expertise to encourage the bidding and the audience participated in the spirit of the event in order to support the worthwhile charity.

Items very much in demand included tickets for the Manchester United match at Old Trafford on 28 December

and tickets for the Tyrone /Dublin match on 16 August. Another item which attracted attention was the 30 minute helicopter ride for three while some of the younger members who attended did their own bidding to acquire some of the model tractors on offer.

John McGrath, chairman of the N I Charolais Club thanked all of the companies who had donated items for the auction thus enabling the club to run this very successful event.
